What Has Been Flushed Down Your Toilet?

The last few weeks we  have had some very interesting items flushed down our toilet, courtesy of lil boo.  All thanks to the fascination of potty training and the fact that lil boo loves to watch anything and everything go swirling down the toilet.  Items we know of:

  • Cars
  • Legos
  • Stuffed Animals
  • Toothbrush
  • Negatives (film)
  • Trains
  • Undies
  • And of Course Toilet Paper (Rolls of it!)

This is just the beginning I am sure.  Time to have the plunger readily available! :o )

Cold Turkey

Wish us luck!  Jan. 1st, 2009 we are going to try potty training 101 extreme style.  No not reality potty training, the camera is staying far away.  It’s time to go for the gusto.  Lil Boo is just having his lil heart set on ripping his diapers off, refusing to change and the midnight birthday suit soaked in pee-land has to stop.

With that said, today when I picked up lil boo from winter camp (daycare over the holidays) we stopped by the store and he picked out some Thomas the Train big boy undies.  His lil face was so excited, I was amazed at how thrilled he seemed.  This has to be our big milestone moment, and what better way to start the new year off then by being potty trained?

Cold Turkey it is! *crossing our fingers it works*

A New Day

Not only is this one of the top new hits from Will.i.Am for President Elect Barack Obama, It’s a New Day, it is the Monday Theme song for Destruction Junction!  I do not believe the Mrs. and I could have asked for a better time with lil boo than today!

This morning the Mrs. went in and woke up lil boo and to her amazement…NO BIRTHDAY SUIT!!  He was snoozing up a storm!  We actually took a little precaution last night and put a onsie underneath his one-piece pajamas.

This afternoon I picked up lil boo from school and we had an absolute blast!  We made popcorn (daddy bookins burnt the first package) while waiting for the Mrs. to come home from work.  To say the least, no popcorn remained.  It was then off to a game of footie (soccer) and a bike ride.  What in the world happened???  Happy Happy Joy Joy, this was fascinating!  No temper tantrums!  We did take a quick stroll down memory lane to say the least….

The Fountain in our backyard (inoperable at this time), had water in its basin from the rain last night.  Lil boo managed to have all sorts of thrilling/splashing fun, with daddy bookins asking twice and removing the hoodlum from the source of entertainment without any such luck…..off to the bathroom I went to draw a nice warm bath.  Seconds behind me is lil boo…covered in mud, drenched from head to toe – perfect timing.  Scrub down!

Now with a clean lil boo all fresh, the rest of this evening has been one we hope to repeat many many more times.  Either way, we have a hint of the upcoming milestone referred to in the previous post.  While lil boo was taking a bath, he asked to go pee in the potty!  OMG!  If this is not a milestone worth going through the insane depths of hell, I don’t know what is….this is like the holy grail of milestones!!!  A step towards the potty means so much, let’s start off with the perfect first – NO DIAPERS!!!!!  Enough said…off to watch Kipper The Dog with lil boo – CHEERS!!!
