Pamper Your Pup
Pamper your pup! We all do it to some extent or another. Our little guy pampers his pup! He had to wait years until the allergist gave him the all clear. When he finally received the thumbs up, off we were to a rescue organization to adopt. He was ecstatic! Finally, his own little puppy. As our story goes though, our pup was abused. She has some issues, even to this day. However, those issues don’t matter for our little guy. This is his puppy and these two are inseparable! She’s a couch potato. Loves her belly rubbed. Will sleep all day and night. And has some of the most quirky behavior any of us have seen when it comes to animals.
When the opportunity came to showcase our pup and what we do to spoil her, not just on Valentine’s Day…but all year long. One special person came to mind. Nana! That’s right, you might as well call this group the three amigos. Raven, Nana and Lil Boo (who isn’t so little these days). You see, Nana came up with a special home made dog treat recipe, that our little girl goes cuckoo for! So, if you want to spoil your pup this Valentine’s Day…or any day for that matter, make a batch of Nana’s Biscuits! Trust me, they’ll go bonkers for more!
Nana’s Biscuit Recipe
- 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk powder
- 1 teaspoon each sugar and salt
- 6 tablespoons of margarine
- 1 egg
- Optional Variations
- 3 tablespoons of Liver Powder or
- Powdered Chicken or
- Beef Bouillon or
- Dried Soup Greens or
- Dried Soup Mix
Mix ingredients with about 1/2 cup of cold water. Knead for 3 minutes. Dough should form a ball. Roll to 1/2″ thick and cut into dog bones. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
The above recipe makes about 4 dozen snack-able sized treats.

Speaking of #VDayDoggyDateContest and #LiquidPlumr – It happens, clogged drains! Pup or not, grease, soap scum, hair – in my case, I’m the drain clogger – I’m pretty grizzly at times! And I’ve clogged a few drains with my own grooming habits. With that said, check out Jess Rona’s Grooming video.
As I mentioned above, I’m the root cause of drain clogging. 15 minutes of Pro Strength Liquid Plumr Full Clog Destoyer and this sink was back action!
