Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
The Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is synonymous with the desert southwest. No matter if you are driving through the eastern side of Kayenta and catch a glimpse or if you travel north on Highway 163 and look south for that iconic Forrest Gump view. The journey into the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park itself is worth the memories of a lifetime. Television, movies and photographs on the internet do it no justice. Pay the park entrance fee and see what all the hubbub is about.
Now for us, this was just the beginning of our 2,000+ mile road trip around the four corner states. That’s right, we rented a little four banger and made the little guy tool across Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico just like both our parents did to us back in the 70’s and 80’s. Honestly though, I believe it was better back then. At least that’s the older 40 year old parent in me making such a ludicrous statement. After this trip, it was obvious that technology has ruined us as a society and that I am equally guilty in that scenario, we all are. That rant will be for another day.
Go check out Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park on your next road trip. You’ll be glad you did!
