Seriously, you have not seen me rant about this yet, at least not this year!  Bloody monkey balls of fire, not only is it HOT in the Valley, it is HUMID!  When the hell did we move to Houston??

To catch a glimpse of how hot it really is, Lil Boo can not stand it anymore.  Every morning when he wakes up, “Mommy it’s hot, I want to move, let’s move to where it snows.”   This is rather interesting….he has never been in snow…how does he know what snow is?  I suppose this holiday season the snow machine will have to make a special appearance!  Palm trees, cactus and a freaking snow machine, yes the Mrs. will just adore me!  Anyone have an extra bed or couch I can sleep on??

Then in the afternoon when I pick him up, it’s “Daddy, it’s to hot outside to play, I’ll watch a movie instead, alright!”  Now for the tie in, he has been watching holiday movies, that include SNOW!  Now that’s thinking smart!!  Watch cold weather and you’ll feel cooler! hmm is this why I drink ice cold adult beverages?? #smr baby!

Cabin Fever has over extended its stay with us.  I hear a much needed vacation in our future.  You know like one down to the South Pole with the penguins!

James Davison, born in Grindleford, England, on Sept. 20, 1943, passed away on June 17, 2010.

Jim is survived by his wife Vickie of 36 years; son Cameron; daughter Samantha; daughter-in-law Colette; grandson Liam; sister Margaret Turner; and niece Tracy.

Jim enjoyed traveling, reading and teaching himself foreign languages. He taught himself Chinese and the art of writing Chinese.

There is rarely a positive outlook when you hear of a plane crash.  However, this one yesterday at the Chandler Airport happened to have such luck, as both men aboard the single engine plane survived.

The video below shows the aftermath of the crash.

Why is it that I am posting such a video, especially on Peas and Bananas.  Simple, Lil Boo and the Mrs. were driving home yesterday and witnessed the billowing smoke and flames erupting out of the engine on the runway.  This has to be the most traumatic visual experience he has ever witnessed!  The thoughts shooting back and forth in his mind must have been devastating as this is the airport I would take him to enjoy a junkie filled fast food dinner and watch the planes and helicopters take off.  He adores watching the planes, almost as much as trains.   Yet, this was a place of comfort, a place of new experiences, a place where his daddy would take him to in the afternoon and just chill out.  Good things happen here.  Now we have this to explain?

Lil Boo has never flown in a plane, but the time will soon come….I wonder if the images he has of this particular day will stay with him when that time to fly arrives?  The Mrs. was nothing but honest with him, that is how we are, tell him like it is – why sugar coat life as a magical fairy tale?  That would really piss him off.

If one could add any sort of insult to injury last night….poor #lilboo had an unfortunate double whammy of an ordeal.

As if the anxiety was not enough….we also found out some additional information.  The type that consists of a midnight run to see a doctor!  Actually, a 2:30AM run.  #lilboo was having issues all night long, not being able to fall asleep, tossing and turning about.  I ventured into his room around 2AM trying to soothe him, with no luck.  His body was actually quite hot.  The Mrs. wound up following me into his room, and good thing she did, I darn near went out cold from being up most the night.  She’s good like that.

Off we went, amazing how little traffic there is at 2:30AM….NONE!  Come to find out, #lilboo had a ripping fever, double ear infection, and an oddity of finding some blood in his ear.  Speaking of no shit sherlock, no wonder you are having some severe issues today/tonight.  With some magic numbing ear drops and antibiotics away we were to be….into the night…rather early morning hours watching everyone head to work….

With a #lilboo snoozing away as tired as he was, a daddy bookins snoring his brain out, and a mrs. exhausted as she could ever be…..it is quite apparent where we stand with our child.  He is our priority, over work, sleep, food, etc…that can come later….except for peeing…yes…#lilboo had his first experience of watering the desert plant life.  Hey…when you have to go…you have to go!

We have reached a new tribulation with #lilboo this past week.  The school year is coming to an abrupt end this week, and we have noticed an abnormal behavior from #lilboo.  This is one derived from a special attachment bond he has with his teacher.

Now do not take any of this the wrong way, we are extremely grateful for all the teachers #lilboo has had in the past, this particularly has been the BEST school and is extremely well suited for him.  Everyone is absolutely fabulous there and of course #lilboo is known throughout.

It all started two nights back when #lilboo woke up during the night (he never does this).  The first night, he woke up on two different occasions.  Not knowing what the issue was at hand…we thought he is pushing some new sort of boundary with us.  With lack of sleep, two grumpy parents and an over tired #lilboo the next day we were miffed most of the day.

Then last night, the antics started up again.  Two separate occasions he woke up, laying in the hallway half asleep.  Now being that the Mrs. took care of the previous night, it was my turn.  Well, I am a heavy sleeper….what can I say?!  I took care of the first incident while she took care of the second.  He kept mumbling something rather that he can’t do it, nothing he can do about it, or I don’t know what to do….so we figured just bad dreams…and put him back to bed.  This happens to kids…they have night terrors or nightmares, what are you supposed to do?  Comfort them of course.

This leads up to this morning.  A very over tired….and I mean OVER TIRED #lilboo did not wake up until 8am.  Typically he wakes up around 6am or so.  When I heard his door open, I thought yippie we get to spend our day together as today was a holiday and school was closed.  However, as someone did not come out to the kitchen I meandered back to his room, only to find him sound asleep in the hallway.  Seriously??  I picked him up and took him out to the family room, where he zonked out for another hour or so.  Now this is just crazy.  Something must definitely be wrong with our son.  Puzzled, I let him sleep, covered him up and out he was in lalalaland.

Finally, as he woke up out of his coma state…must have been the rice milk latte.  Off we were to begin our day.  Meeting up with a #momposse friend of mine, we chatted about the behavior, unbeknown to me, we were not alone with this mysterious tribulation that lay before our eyes.  Others are experiencing the same issues at school.  All reporting something of the sorts regarding the end of school…..Interesting….

This leads us to the present….what a night it has been.  #lilboo had his first official anxiety attack!  How the hell is this fair for a four year old??  There was absolutely nothing we could do to console our little boy.  This has never happened before.  He literally had a meltdown.  We had to pry for information, trying to get him to talk to us, explaining what was going through his mind.  After a few hours, we were able to nail down the answer, it took awhile, with some hits and misses here and there, but finally….we had an answer.

The attachment bond he has is with his teacher – Ms. Sweetheart.  The one and only.  She has a way with her kids that is purely amazing!  #lilboo has been with her for a year now, last summer.  He loves her in a way that only a four year could explain.  She is not his mommy nor his daddy….she is herself, that “special person” of whom he bonded with at day one.  The one he feels safe and secure with at all times.  The one that soothes and comforts him when things get bumpy (we all know how bumpy the life is of a four year old).  She is the reason of his misunderstanding of the upcoming changes.  A classroom being emptied out, the talk of missing you over the summer, the one encouraging the fascinating future of emotional growth within a little boy that would do absolutely anything for her.  He is confused, does not understand the changes, where will she be, will we still have shabbat, who will make hamentashen.  Ms. Sweetheart is more than just his teacher, and as we experienced something new in our little boy tonight we know this (as we always have), he has one hell of a BIG HEART!!!  Ms. Sweetheart….you know who you are….and I know you’ll read this….thank you for everything you have done for #lilboo.  You have made his life, (not like he’s 80 or something), a very fulfilling one as you have witnessed major life developments in him this past year.  He will never forget you, nor will we….hells bells a brownstone co-op in the city sure does sound intriguing!

The Boo’isms are improving by the day!!!  As I was looking for the ‘perfect’ replacement belt at one of my favorite retail stores (hint: EddieBauer), the Mrs. was hanging out with Lil Boo.  I was promptly informed of Lil Boo’s latest infatuation:

Mrs. – Look Lil Boo, aren’t those nice tops? (pointing towards manikins)

Lil Boo – Yea, those are pretty mommy.  They have Boobies!

Mrs. – LIL BOO!

Lil Boo – Look up there mommy (pointing at more manikins), Boobies! Boobies! Boobies!

Ah, I wonder what’s on his mind?!?  Great!  All boys do think alike….

You just have to adore the pure honesty that pours from your child’s mouth, no matter where it is, what is said, or how real it is.  Lil Boo spilled this one as we were leaving a packed restaurant this evening:

Look daddy, my belly is as big as yours!  See?!  Look at my belly, daddy!  It is like your belly, big!

Seriously, could we emphasize the big and belly part a few more times?  BTW…let it be known, that I have shaved off a cool 7 lbs since last Friday.  I have 10 lbs more to go before I am back at my pre-night shift #carbwhore #cokeaddiction weight, so take that Lil Boo! (I know real mature, arguing with a four year old)
