I have talked about it over and over again.  Now it is time to just do it and what better day than a #followfriday day on Twitter to start the Quest for a Million.

The Goal

• Reach One Million Followers @peasandbananas on Twitter.

Why

• I want to achieve the goal.  Plain and simple, nothing fancy.

I thought you said…

• What? Jumping off a helicopter bungee jumping into a volcano??  That I did, and I tried contacting the company…with no luck….that makes ME SCARED!  End of subject )

When

• Starting today – April 24, 2009, the date to achieve the goal is May 14, 2009.  This gives me 21 days.  I think know it can be done.

Anything else

• Not really, I am not seeking a million dollars, international fame and fortune (not that I would turn any of this down of course) you know all the bubbly stuff.  Let’s just see if in 21 days a daddy blogger named Daddy Bookins on Peas and Bananas makes it to One Million followers on Twitter.

This seems to be the most realistic zany idea to do if I reach One Million Followers….would you do all three of these or have you already been on them?

• Big Shot -- Shoots passengers straight up 160 feet at 45 mph (over 4 Gs) until they are 1,081 feet above the Strip.
• X-Scream -- A giant teeter-totter that propels you 27 feet over the edge of the Tower, 866 feet above the ground.
• Insanity, the Ride -- A massive mechanical arm extends 64 feet over the edge of the Tower and spins you at a force of 3 Gs for a truly mind-bending experience.

I have been talking about it since the day @aplusk reached his mark of a cool 1,000,000 followers on Twitter.  You have seen my tweets about the celebrities getting their time.  It is all I hear on the radio, tv and across twitter now.  I have been assembling my own ‘Race to a Million’ as the ‘Team Average Citizen’ (coined courtesy to @modernsinglemom).  Not sure how I should take that, if I am average and all. )

Here is what I do know….

• I want to reach 1,000,000 Followers on Twitter, that is, the first Non-Celebrity to do it.

• I want to accomplish it in 21 Days or better.

• A Charity will be involved.  (Suggestions are welcomed, I already have a few in mind.)

• I want to do something crazy/zany after it is reached and broadcast it live or perhaps even do it while @peasandbananas is reaching 1,000,000.  (I already tried to pass this *Volcano Bungee* off to the mrs. which she does not approve.)
