100 Word Challenge – Place

October 25th, 2009 by Daddy Bookins Leave a reply »

Last night my alter ego @daddybookins on twitter had a conversation with @velvetverbosity on a writing challenge that is meant to help or rather be an exercise in writing.  It is geared towards any and all levels.  The idea is simple, write whatever you want with the given word of that week – the catch: 100 words (no more – no less) in any style that you select.

This afternoon I teamed up with my brains (lil boo) the master of mayhem to put together a rhyming ensemble of the word selection: “PLACE”.

Without further adieu, here is our entry (and yes lil boo at 3 1/2 years old did come up with some of the verses), enjoy!

A place to be,

Is something to see.

From starry days,

To breezy ways.

Filled with sunny nights,

On moon trip flights.

Young eyes with an imaginable mind,

Will be of the adventurous kind.

As long as the stories shall be told,

A glow on his face will forever unfold.

With a Prince in the tub,

To a bed full of mud.

Ever seen an eye,

In your apple pie?

In the mind,

You will find.

Stories of a bear,

That have no hair.

Strolling through the years,

With many of cheers.

A place to be,

Is something to see.

We hope you enjoyed our entry.  For more information visit Velvet Verbosity.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the YOB Years!  Where all you need is a BIG hug!

Peas Out!
